Amerifresh Food Services of America has named a new president and chief executive officer.

Bill Munger Jr. will take the top job at the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company on May 21, following the retirement of Dennis Domagala, said Brad Parker, an Amerifresh spokesman.

Domagala was at Amerifresh for 23 years.

Munger is director of fresh-cut sales in the Salinas, Calif., office of Oviedo, Fla.-based Duda Farm Fresh Foods. He has 28 year of experience in the produce industry.

“We are extremely excited to have Bill join our team at a time when we have a number of strategic initiatives being formed,” Domagala said in a news release. “He is a great fit with our culture and will be a terrific resource for our future success.”

Amerifresh, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Services Group of America, markets Snoboy and other produce brands to retail and foodservice customers.
