BC Tree Fruits, Kelowna, British Columbia, is making personnel moves resulting from the announced retirement of director of sales and marketing Rick Austin, who will retire Dec. 31 after 33 years of service to the cooperative.

Lance McGinn is now director of sales, stepping up from his sales manager role.
Don Westcott has been promoted from director of grower services and logistics to senior director of marketing and planning.

Laurel Van Dam has been advanced to sales manager. Previously, she was business development manager.

“I am grateful to have spent my entire career with this incredible organization, and deeply
honored to have had the opportunity to lead its sales and marketing efforts for the last three,” Austin said in a news release. “This is the culmination of a process that began some time ago with Lance, Don and Laurel now ready to take on their new leadership roles.”

Austin plans to serve as a consultant providing executive advisory services until May 31.
