Apple growers from around the U.S. are partnering with The Produce Mom to host a Twitter party at 9 p.m. EDT Oct. 7. According to a news release, the host organizations will post questions to Twitter using the hashtag #NationalAppleMonth. Twitter users can respond, with hosts randomly choosing winners to receive prizes from their brands. The hosts for the #NationalAppleMonth Twitter party:

“The Produce Mom” is the official blog and consumer brand of Indianapolis Fruit Co., authored by marketing manager Lori Taylor.
“I invite everyone to join us as we share tips on how to get kids (and adults) to eat more apples with some original new recipes,” Taylor said in a news release.
Past Twitter parties have proven highly popular, reaching over 1.5 million users. Hosts for this event hope for even greater success in reaching consumers.
“Harvest is in full swing and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate! We’ve co-hosted several Twitter parties with The Produce Mom and they’ve always proven to be successful,” Kaci Komstadius, social media director, Sage Fruit, said in the release. “We look forward to engaging with consumers and sharing information, recipes and pictures for National Apple Month,”
