Katie Stagliano, founder and director of Katie’s Krops, recently published a children’s book detailing the story of her youth-run garden program.

Stagliano partnered with the University of South Carolina and Young Palmetto Books to write “Katie’s Cabbage.” According to a news release, the Young Palmetto Book series highlights South Carolina writers and publishes educational books for young readers for a literacy outreach program.

“It was a pleasure to work with Katie and her family on this project,” Kim Shealy Jeffcoat, senior editor of Young Palmetto Books, said in a news release. “The story of Katie and her cabbage is a wonderful addition to the series and will be enjoyed by children of all ages.”

The book is available on Amazon, and is expected in bookstores nationwide soon.
