Charleston/Orwig recently opened an Austin, Texas, office to allow the Hartland, Wis., firm to improve relations with food and agricultural businesses in the Southeast.

“The Austin office complements the operations we currently have in place and allows us to engage more deeply across the southwest, particularly within the fresh fruit and produce sectors,” said Mark Gale, chief executive officer, in a news release.

The company has specialists placed in agriculturally strategic locations, including Washington, D.C., Kansas, St. Louis and North Dakota. The addition of the Texas branch will help the firm attract clients in an area central to fresh produce. According to a news release, the Austin location is also particularly appealing as a “hub of technology and digital innovation”.

The director of digital services, Jimmy Mooney, will lead the offices digital staff at the new office.
