Frieda’s Inc. has passed its annual Global Food Safety Initiative benchmark audit and California Certified Organic Farmers organic audit.

“Food safety is of highest importance here at Frieda’s,” Jackie Caplan Wiggins, Frieda’s vice president and chief operating officer, said in a news release. “Not only do we apply the strictest of requirements to our own facility, our supplier-partners all must adhere to the same high standards.

Based on April’s audit, Frieda’s received a score of 99.35% on the PrimusGFS Packinghouse Audit, the highest global standard. The score is higher than the 99.26% Frieda’s received last year. The Primus GFS audit was performed by PrimusLabs.

The organic audit in June, confirmed that the company continues to be 100%-compliant with the National Organic Program set up by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The company’s clients may request updated certificates and final audit results.
