Organics Unlimited, San Diego, continues to focus on social responsibility trends in a Facebook contest via its non-profit organization GROW (Giving Resources and Opportunities to Workers). The contest winner will receive a trip to Colima, Mexico, and participate in a volunteer work.

“Throughout September we celebrate GROW Month, a time to increase awareness of the good will of GROW, but why stop there?” president Mayra Velazquez de Leon said in a news release.

The winner and a guest can choose from volunteer opportunities such as teaching English, helping at a dental clinic, and helping on literacy and environmental causes.

Contest details are available at; the winner will be announced in early November.

“These volunteer weeks are an incredible opportunity for anyone to experience meaningful hands-on service to help families and workers in Mexico who help make Organics Unlimited bananas possible,” said Velazquez de Leon.
