GloriAnn Farms and Five Crowns Marketing plan to donate to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund for every case of corn sold in August.

It’s the second year of an effort on behalf of the fund. The program yielded nearly $18,000 in donations from the companies in 2012.

“It’s our way of giving back to military families who have sacrificed so much for our nation,” Mark Bacchetti, partner in Tracy, Calif.-based GloriAnn Farms, said in a news release.

GloriAnn tray packs in August will include a sticker highlighting the fund.

“This not only increases customer awareness for this worthy cause, but allows for merchandising opportunities for our customers,” Daren Van Dyke, Five Crowns director of sales and marketing, said in the release.

Five Crowns is GloriAnn’s marketing arm for its value-added products.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund serves wounded or injured U.S. military personnel and their families.
