Guelph Food Technology Centre, Guelph, Ontario, will host a free Web seminar for producers to learn more about the Canadian Horticultural Council’s Canada Good Agricultural Practices On-Farm Food Safety Program.
Participants will receive an overview of CanadaGAP, certification information including Guelph Food Technology Centre’s role in certification and a question and answer session.
An increasing number of buyers, including McCain Foods Canada and Lamb-Weston, require suppliers to be CanadaGAP-certified, according to a news release.
Speakers include Heather Gale, CanadaGAP national program manager, Canadian Horticultural Council, and Stefanie Sonneveld, CanadaGAP scheme manager, Guelph Food Technology Centre.
