Homegrown Organic Farms has added industry veteran Fred Berry to its sales staff.
Berry, who most recently worked as marketing director for Orange Cove, Calif.-based Mulholland Citrus, is now senior account manager for Porterville, Calif.-based Homegrown, according to a news release.
“I’m excited to be joining the team at Homegrown,” Berry said in the release. “Good things are happening in the organic industry and I’m thrilled I get to be a part of it all.”
Scott Mabs, Homegrown’s chief executive officer, said in the release that Berry’s industry experience will serve Homegrown well.
In 2003, Berry, then vice president of sales operations for Reedley, Calif.-based Kings Canyon Corrin LLC, was interim manager of the Fresno-based California Grape & Tree Fruit League following the resignation of Richard Matoian. Berry also served a term as chairman of the association.
Homegrown Organic Farms, founded in 1998, markets more than 3,500 acres of organic produce.
