In celebration of the Idaho Potato Committee's 75th year anniversary, renowned photographer David Stoecklein spent a year documenting scenes from Idaho’s potato industry.
The result is “Potato Country,” a book dedicated to the Idaho potato industry. A slideshow of the photographs can also be viewed online at www.idahopotato.com.
According to a news release, the 2011 Idaho potato harvest is expected to produce more than 12 billion pounds of potatoes, the majority of which will be used to make processed foods.
“The IPC could not ask for a better start to our 75th Anniversary year than with a quality crop of Idaho potatoes,” Frank Muir, president and chief executive officer of the Idaho Potato Commission, said in a news release.
