Kenco, Chattanooga, Tenn., promoted a president of two of its subsidiaries and hired its sales vice president.

The company promoted David Caines to president of Kenco Logistic Services LLC and Kenco Transportation Services LLC. He’ll have full operating responsibility for the entities. He was previously the company’s senior vice president of operations.

Caines joined the company in 2002, spending his first three years at the Memphis, Tenn., Kenco/Cummins operation and ending as its director. He was named corporate operations manager in 2006 and vice president of operations in 2007. He became senior vice president of operations in 2009.

Kenco also hired Sean Coakley as its senior vice president of sales and marketing.

Kenco provides logistics and real estate services as well as material handling equipment.

Coakley will set strategic direction for sales and marketing for all of Kenco’s companies, according to a news release.

He previously worked at another logistics company, Ryder Supply Chain Solutions, Miami, for 10 years. He had positions in sales and operations.

Before that, he worked for Electronic Data Systems, Plano, Tex.; Arthur Andersen, Chicago; and PeoplePC, owned by EarthLink Inc., which is based in Atlanta.
