Key Technology, Walla Walla, Wash., has promoted one of its product marketing managers to director of marketing.
Steve Johnson, who worked more than 20 years in operational leadership and engineering positions, heads Key’s worldwide marketing of its automated inspection and sorting systems, specialized conveying and processing equipment. Johnson oversees Key’s product line strategies, branding and marketing communications programs, according to a news release.
For the past year, Johnson headed Key’s vibratory conveyors line. Before that, he served as vice president and general manager of Gordon Composites and previously worked for Key as a senior manufacturing engineer.
“During Steve’s tenure at Key, he has exhibited an outstanding ability to drive marketing initiatives that focus on delivering value to our customers,” David Camp, Key’s president and chief executive officer, said in the release. “We are excited to expand his responsibilities and support him in developing and implementing company-wide marketing strategies that continue to build Key’s leadership momentum.”
