LoBue Citrus, Lindsay, Calif., has a new merchandising program for cara cara pink navels.

The marketing effort includes high-graphic header bags in 3, 4 and 5 pounds; 3-pound wrap bags; half and full cartons; a merchandising wrap and new point-of-sale materials.

“We are always looking for ways to support citrus category growth and want to provide extra value to our customers,” Norm Gatineau, vice president of domestic sales and marketing at LoBue Citrus, said in a news release. “This program will really be a boost to cara cara sales.”

The program was developed to increase sales of the higher-margin cara cara navel. It highlights the fruit’s flavor and interior color, allowing retailers to merchandise cara caras separately from other navels.
