Salinas, Calif.-based Mann Packing will celebrate the company’s 75th year in business and highlight two products in the new products showcase at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in Anaheim in the Salinas Valley Grower Shipper Pavilion.

Mann’s Veggies and Hummus fresh vegetable tray featuring Sabra Classic hummus will be in the Just 4 Kids showcase and Snap Pea Sensations kits will be featured in the Fresh Summit new product showcase, according to a news release from Mann Packing. In addition, Mann’s refreshed Family Favorites brand and new packaging design is a finalist for the 2014 PMA Impact Award according to the release.

As part of the company’s 75th anniversary celebration, three Mann employees are participating in the inaugural Tour de Fresh, a fund-raising bike ride from Salinas to Anaheim.

“It’s a great cause that supports something we’re all very passionate about at Mann’s — addressing the child obesity issue and doing our part to contribute to the health and well being of children,” Craig Grantham, director of sales operations and Mann’s Tour de Fresh team captain, said in the release. The money raised by the Mann Tour de Fresh team will support salad bars in schools.

A special video will be unveiled at the Fresh Summit show, according to the release. Designed to encourage healthy eating habits, the video is called “Operation Salad” and features Mann’s Gina Broccolini.
