Mastronardi Produce will again partner with the Pink Ribbon Produce Campaign in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Kingsville, Ontario-based Mastronardi plans to ship special packs of Sunset brand Campari cocktail tomatoes as part of the partnership, according to a news release.

The packs will include a quick-response code directing shoppers to, a Mastronardi site dedicated to the effort. The site tells consumers now they can get involved in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness via social media.

Mastronardi plans to sponsor contests and promotions on social media channels throughout October using the hashtag #SunsetCares.

For each Campari pack sold in North America in October, Mastronardi plans to make a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

In addition, Mastronardi hosts the Pink Ribbon Retailer Appreciation Ceremony at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit convention in New Orleans. The ceremony is slated for 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at Booth 2738.

“We always look forward to working with Pink Ribbon Produce every year,” Paul Mastronardi, Mastronardi’s president, said in the release. “It’s a cause we fondly support, and we always strive to advocate healthy lifestyles.”

This is the seventh year Mastronardi has partnered with Pink Ribbon Produce. Over the past six years, the company has donated more than $100,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
