David McClurg, vice president of marketing for the the New York Apple Association, will be leaving the organization this month.
McClurg plans to join IFCO Systems in a management position, according to a news release from the apple association.
McClurg joined the Fishers, N.Y., association in 2001, where he helped to expand retail markets and include more New York apples in New York schools.
“Dave has been an excellent Apple Ambassador of New York State apples, and has gained the respect of his colleagues throughout the industry,” Jim Allen, president of the New York Apple Association, said in the release. “His service and dedication will be missed.”
The Apple Association will be looking to replace McClurg’s position in upcoming months, according to the release.
