Fort Pierce, Fla.-based Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Co. has been certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
The council is a third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled and operated by women.
Chief executive officer Marygrace Sexton founded Natalie’s 25 years ago in Vero Beach, Fla. The company officially became women-owned with the transfer of shares to her daughters, Natalie Sexton and Lucy Sexton, according to a news release.
Natalie, the company’s namesake, became director of marketing after earning a degree in economics from Rollins College. Lucy Sexton is pursuing a dual degree in environmental studies and art, and plans to take a more active role at the company after graduation.
Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Co. produces orange and grapefruit juice, among other products.
