The New Jersey Peach Promotion Council has elected two new members to its board of directors.

Growers Tom Holtzhauser and Leonard Grasso are the new members of the Clayton-based council’s board, according to a council news release.

“We welcome these two growers, who are very active in positioning the New Jersey peach industry as a leading marketer of our locally grown fruit, both on the wholesale and retail levels,” Santo John Maccherone, the council’s president, said in the release.

Holtzhauser and his wife Stacey operate Holtzhauser Farms in Mullica Hill. In 2012, their peaches won the Governors Cup for Best of Show at the New Jersey Peach Festival.

Grasso and his father Angelo operate Angelo Grasso and Son Farms south of Mullica Hill. Grasso is a trustee of the New Jersey Peach Council and a former director of the East Gloucester County Board of Agriculture.
