River Ranch Fresh Foods, Salinas, Calif., has redesigned its packaging and logo in time for the Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit Oct. 14-17 in Atlanta.

The new River Ranch logo merges a farm scene with the existing corporate logo.

The logo will appear on the companies vegetable commodities as well as packaged salads and vegetables.

River Ranch’s family-sized packaging gets a new look in addition to the logo, according to a news release. It features two colors, promotes nutrition information, cooking instructions, recipe information on the front, and product usage will be presented on the back.

The new design will be featured on display-ready cartons as well, which were made of unbleached kraft material in order to conserve energy, water and greenhouse gas emissions, according to the release.

Kim St. George, director of marketing, said the logo and packaging were designed with the consumer in mind and promotes River Ranch’s strengths of freshness, quality and nutrition.
