Two produce marketing and public relations veterans have formed Idea Garden Marketing, a company focusing on helping businesses throughout the produce industry improve their brands and sales.

Kim Avola and John Avola plan to introduce their company at this year’s Southeast Produce Council’s Southern Exposure scheduled for Feb. 27-March 1 in Orlando, Fla.

The operation plans to work with produce companies in areas including overall branding, marketing strategy, website development and social media strategy and implementation, according to a news release.

Both partners possess a combined 11 years of industry marketing experience and the husband and wife want to bring their collective talent to the new endeavor, according to the release.

Kim Avola was a vice president and a six-year veteran of Orlando-based Produce for Kids while John Avola possesses digital marketing experience.

John Avola is scheduled to lead a session at the conference on how digital is affecting grocery shopping trends.

Idea Garden Marketing developed the convention’s website,  and is managing the council’s online registration and new ExpoBadge process, according to the release.
