Nunhems, the vegetable seed business under the Bayer CropScience’s umbrella, has promoted Rebecca Catlett to the position of produce chain manager for the Americas.
Most recently Catlett has been the global “MarCom” manager for Nunhems, which is based in Parma, Idaho. In her new position Catlett will work with retailers, packer/shippers, importers, traders and foodservice companies to develop products and enhance their relationship with Nunhems, according to a news release.
“The produce chain is essential to our business and, in turn, Nunhems’ value-added vegetable varieties are very important to their businesses,” Catlett said in the release. “It is vital that we continue working together to develop products that work for the entire produce chain, including, of course, the end-user.”
Nunhems’ offerings include 2,500 seed varieties in 28 vegetable crops, including leading varieties of carrot, cucumber, leek, lettuce, melon, onion, pepper, tomato and watermelon.
