Kori Tuggle is returning to Church Brothers LLC as vice president of marketing after nearly a decade at Ocean Mist Farms.
Tuggle, who will move to the new job in the last half of November, previously spent four years at Church Brothers, finishing as director of marketing and business development, before coming in 2005 to Ocean Mist. Most recently, she was director of marketing and business development at Castroville, Calif.-based Ocean Mist.
She will report to chief executive officer Steve Church and work with sales and business development staff, as well as take responsibility for marketing and other company priorities.
“We are excited to have Kori rejoin Church Brothers, as she has over 12 years of marketing experience in our industry,” Steve Church said in a news release. “Kori has a great work ethic, marketing skills, and character that will help Church Brothers and True Leaf Farms with our continued plan for growth.”
“I’m anxious to return to the Church Brothers team and work for Tom and Steve (Church), who have always believed in me and taught me so much in the earlier years of my career,” Tuggle said in the release. “I’m looking forward to being part of the relentless entrepreneurial vision that drives their businesses forward.”
Ernst Van Eeghen, who was director of marketing and product development for Church Brothers, left the Salinas, Calif., grower-shipper in September for a similar role with Twang Partners, a San Antonio food products company.
Tuggle started her produce career as a buyer at Safeway in 1996 after earning an agribusiness degree from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif. During her first stint at Church Brothers, she completed a master’s in business administration at Pepperdine University.
