The Organic Trade Association and Ann Arbor, Mich.-based NSF International are hosting a two-day training program in Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points food safety compliance for organic producers.

The program is scheduled for March 7-8 in Anaheim, Calif., before the Natural Products Expo West 2012 industry trade show, according to a news release from the Brattleboro, Vt.-based OTA.

The course will include instruction in the seven principles of HACCP and how they relate to organic certification programs and how to write and implement HACCP plans in organic food environments.

The program, targeted at operators of small- to medium-sized processing facilities, costs $799 for association members and $875 for non-members.
