The National Grocers Association is collaborating with the Produce Marketing Association to add a produce pavilion to its annual expo.
The pavilion includes 2,500 square feet of exhibit space at The PMA Produce Pavilion with more than 20 produce companies represented.
“NGA is pleased to work together with PMA in creating this new opportunity for our members attending this year’s show,” said Peter Larking, NGA president and chief executive officer, in a news release. “This is the type of collaboration our members are asking for and we hope it brings greater value not only to independent grocers attending, but PMA members as well.”
Anthony Barbieri, vice president of business development for PMA, is leading a workshop at the event, Feb. 12-15 at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.
Speakers for the workshop include Jan DeLyser, vice president of marketing for the California Avocado Commission; Howard Nager, vice president of marketing for Domex Superfresh Growers; Peter Steinbrick, vice president of sales for Melissa’s World Variety Produce; and Jon Vasapoli, director of produce for D’Agostino Supermarkets.
