The 20th annual Leadership Symposium presented by the Produce Marketing Association is set for Jan. 18-20 in Dallas.

Only 75 participants will be accepted for the event. Applications are due by Dec. 30. The PMA

Foundation for Industry Talent is partnering with Cornell University for the 2012 session at the Omni Dallas Hotel Park West. The symposium is designed for top decision makers from businesses in all sectors of the fresh produce industry.

Topics on the agenda include marketing in tough economic conditions; global competition; and managing generational differences. Scheduled speakers include:

  • Todd Buchholz, an authority on business, geopolitics and global competition;
  • Clyde Fessler, formerly with Harley-Davidson, speaking about marketing in a challenging economy;
  • Seth Mattison, BridgeWorks LLC, discussing managing generational differences; and
  • George Metanias, GLS Worldwide, offering tips and tools to enhance leadership styles.

Members of PMA accepted for the program will receive a 50% price break, paying $3,600 compared to non-members. PMA members who do not need hotel accommodations may attend for $2,875, compared to $5,750 for non-members.
