The United Fresh Produce Association gave industry members a preview of what’s to come in May at the group’s annual convention in Dallas.

The United Fresh 2012 Exhibitor Forum Dec. 13-14 at the Dallas Convention Center included tours of the show floor and building, along with insights on how to maximize booth presentation.

More than 5O exhibitors for the United Fresh show, and the American Meat Institute and Food Marketing Institute conventions, which will be co-located at the convention center, attended the forum.

Stephen Butt, senior vice president of H-E-B’s Central Market Division, addressed participants on trade show issues and his views on the retail industry.

Industry members also met with representatives of the Food Marketing Institute and National Association of State Departments of Agriculture in preparation for the United Fresh convention, scheduled for May 1-3 at the convention center.

During the forum, participants broke up into groups to discuss pre-show planning and strategies for the trade show floor.
