Produce for Kids plans to kick off the summer grilling season with a Twitter party.

Produce for Kids plans grilling Twitter partyThe Orlando, Fla.-based organization is scheduling a FreshGrilling for the Summer! event at 9 p.m. Eastern May 16.

The event is hosted by Produce for Kids, Shuman Produce Inc., Reidsville, Ga., and Stephen Ames (aka Spatula Dad), an Austin, Texas-based father of three who promotes healthy eating through a web site, blog and videos.

“We’ll be dishing out tasty, simple, healthy grilling recipes and tips to ensure you’re achieving full grilling guru potential,” according to a Produce for Kids news release.

The hour-long event will include chances to win grocery gift cards and prizes.
