The Quebec Produce Marketing Association is releasing a new informational toolkit focusing on consuming fruits and vegetables of different colors.

Mandoline Invites You to Discover Fruits and Vegetables Using the 5 Colour Groups!” is intended for use by teachers to encourage children to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and will be distributed to more than 2,600 early childcare providers in Quebec, according to a news release.

The kit includes a large poster and an educational brochure filled with a variety of activities designed to help children learn about produce, such as games and riddles to introduce color groups, an experimentation workshop and short stories.

The new toolkit is the follow-up to “Mandoline Invites You to Discover Fruits and Vegetables with Your 5 Senses!” This first edition was well received, winning two awards from the Quebec Association of Public Relations Professionals.

Along with distributed copies, the toolkit is also available to the general public. Consumers can download it for free.
