Sparta, Mich.-based Riveridge Produce Marketing Inc. has hired two new employees and promoted a third as it prepares for another apple harvest.

As of Aug. 4, Mitch Brinks is a new account manager in Riveridge’s Sparta, Mich., sales office, according to a news release.

For the past 11 years, he was sales manager for Jack Brown Produce. He has also worked in produce procurement for the Kroger Co. His experience includes import and export sales of fresh produce.

“We have a talented team of professionals within our existing staff and Mitch will add to our depth, allowing us to serve a larger and more diverse customer base with the right mix of products and services,” Riveridge president Don Armock said in the release.

Dan Winowiecki has been added to the accounting staff after 32 years with Cherry Growers Inc., where he most recently was the director of finance and accounting.

Jeff Armock, manager of food safety and quality control, has taken on additional responsibilities for production scheduling and sales during his fifth year at Riveridge.
