SCS Global Services will offer an online training course in GlobalG.A.P. standards.

The course, set to begin Sept. 11 and end Sept. 25, will be the equivalent of a two-day in-person course, but it can be taken over a two-week period, according to a news release from Emeryville, Calif.-based SCS.

“GlobalG.A.P. training is the most efficient way for growers to start the process of reaching certification,” SCS training services manager, Diane Dulmage, said in the release. “SCS has worked closely with reps from GlobalG.A.P. to ensure that our education programs are accurate and helpful.”

The course, to be led by food safety veteran Rhiannon Wallstedt Woo, will be structured around three Web-based live workshops that will help students complete 14 easy-to-understand digital learning modules at their own pace.

Topics to be covered in the course include site history; pre-harvest, harvest and post-harvest activities; document review; and on-farm checklists.
