Sun World International LLC has optimized a mobile website for smartphone and tablet users.

The site is designed for faster upload and better small screen navigation, according to a news release. Consumers can scroll through product images and videos, learn about Bakersfield, Calif.-based Sun World’s fruits and vegetables, find recipes or contact the company.

A section dedicated to food safety and traceability allows consumers to enter a numeric code or scan a quick-response code on grape clamshells or some grape and pepper bags to check product origins using the Foodlink TrueTrac system. That allows users to learn about the growing location and farmer.

“We recognize the massive growth of mobile Internet usage,” Gordon Robertson, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “Sun World’s new mobile site ensures that however consumers interact with our brand online, they have a positive experience.”
