Phoenix-based Tessenderlo Kerley Inc. has agreed to purchase Purfresh Inc., Fremont, Calif.

The purchase also will end litigation between the two companies, according to a news release.

Under terms of the purchase agreement, Tessenderlo Kerley will acquire the global assets of the Purfresh Purshade crop protection product line including formulation knowledge, registrations, pending patents, other intellectual property and customer lists, according to the release.

Upon completion of the purchase, Tessenderlo Kerley will dismiss the complaint it filed against Purfresh charging the California company with infringement of some Tessenderlo Kerley patents, the release said.

Other terms of the purchase agreement were not disclosed.

The Purshade business will be managed and marketed by Tessenderlo Kerley’s NovaSource business unit, which markets the company’s Surround Crop Protectant product line.
