McAllen, Texas-based Triple H Group LLC plans to double its capacity with a new 50,000-square-foot, $3.5 million distribution center.

Groundbreaking took place in mid-December for the facility, which is expected to open in July, according to a news release.

“Providing efficient daily operation and product supply — through value-added services — is the path we’ve chosen to serve major supermarket chains, as well as leading foodservice distributors and wholesalers in the U.S.,” said chief executive officer Heriberto Vlaminck, in a news release. “This project is strongly focused on transparency and accountability, new technology and sound management practices of in & out logistics, cold storage, repacking and quality inspection — all critical functions impacting our clients’ productivity.”

The company has been working in McAllen for the past five years, Vlaminck said, in the release, and is a prime area for growth with the development of the Mazatlan-Durango highway.

“We are preparing to serve increased volume of operations that will result of this situation,” he said, in the release.
