The leafy green grower WP Rawl recently announced its upcoming partnership with actress Monique Coleman. The former “High School Musical” star will help increase exposure and inspire consumption of leafy greens “through videos, healthy eating tips and recipe content along with an increased social media presence with contests and Twitter parties,” according to a news release.
“When we made the connection with Monique and discovered her passion for eating greens in a healthy way, and then learned that she had grown up nearby and still has family ties in the area, we knew we had to find a way to partner with her,” Ashley Rawl, vice president of marketing, sales and product development, said in a news release.
WP Rawl, based in Pelion, S.C., grows, ships and processes bulk and value-added leafy greens and vegetables year-round. It is a third-generation family farm, dating back to 1925, and will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2015.
