Dole Fresh Vegetables is voluntarily recalling some of its bagged baby spinach products due to possible contamination by walnuts.

The recall is for Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico and affects only Dole baby spinach 6- and 8-ounce bags with specified bag codes and best-by dates.

The walnuts fell from a tree into spinach bins being delivered from a field and were discovered at the plant, according to a news release. No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported.

The best-by date on all affected items is Sept. 4.

For the 6-ounce bag, the universal product code is 071430009642. Bag codes are B2311020, B2311021, B2311022 and B2311023.

For the 8-ounce bag, the universal product code is 071430009765. Bag codes are B2311020, B2311021, B2311022, B2311023, B2311024 and B2311025.

Consumers who purchased the products are advised not to eat them, and to call the Dole Consumer Center at 1-800-356-3111 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pacific, Monday through Friday, for a refund.
