Five California companies are sponsoring a fundraiser for three produce- and Salinas Valley youth-related charities.
Growing & Giving 2010, an event organized by strategic marketing and design firm McDill Associates, is scheduled for July 29 at the Tanimura & Antle headquarters just outside Salinas, Calif. Tanimura & Antle is one of the sponsors, along with Grimmway Farms, Mission Produce, Naturipe Farms and Ventura Foods, according to a news release.
The event is designed to raise money through a silent auction and through ticket sales. The beneficiaries are the Produce Marketing Association’s Foundation for Industry Talent, Rancho Cielo Youth Campus and Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services. Live music and time to network are also on the agenda.
The event is scheduled during the days before PMA’s annual Foodservice Conference & Exposition in Monterey, Calif., to draw in supporters from people in the area for the show, according to the release.
Tickets are available at www.growingandgiving2010.com. The event is scheduled for 4-8 p.m.
