The company raffled off two bicycles at Produce Marketing Association's Fresh Summit 2010 to publicize its focus on health and fitness and berries’ role in a healthy lifestyle.

The Watsonville, Calif.-based company is in the hiring process, and plans to add two more employees in the Santiago office by November, said Joseph Barsi, vice president of business development. The company has other offices in California, Florida, Oregon and Mexico.

Musleh was most recently with Valle Maule, a distributor, as country manager for Chile. He has also served as country manager Chicago, Ill.-based Sun Belle Inc.'s Argentina office, he said.

Musleh got his start in produce in sales for Chiquita and Del Monte.

“Our growth is really strong out of Chile, so it just made sense to open an office and have a presence out there,” Barsi said.

The company’s upcoming promotional efforts should be around health and fitness and the role berries play, said Cindy Jewell, director of marketing. The company raffled off two bicycles at Produce Marketing Association's Fresh Summit 2010 to reflect its fitness message.
