(June 22) Look for good supplies of high-quality cherries and apricots from California's Central Valley this summer, area growers told the Central Valley Business Times. Favorable winter and spring weather could help produce the state's largest cherry harvest ever, while apricot volume could double that of the 2006 crop.

Also, California growers may be able to fill in the likely peach shortfall from freezes in the Southeast if the crop is 10% larger than last year's, as expected.
