The Alliance for Food and Farming and the Western Growers Association are hosting a Web session March 29 on food safety.

The session will focus on a new report called “Analysis of Produce Related Foodborne Illness Outbreaks,” commissioned by the Alliance for Food and Farming, which looks at the percentage foodborne illness in the U. S. traced back to produce, according to a news release.

The report is meant to provide the industry with better information about foodborne illness outbreaks by examining the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data, according to the release, and identifies where the contamination occurred.

The free session will be at1 p.m. PDT, and for information on registering e-mail
