The U.S. Department of Agriculture is seeking nominations to fill five upcoming vacancies for five-year terms on the National Organic Standards Board.

The 15-member board develops and recommends to the secretary of agriculture a proposed National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances used in organic production and processing, according to a news release.

The board also advises the secretary on other aspects of the National Organic Program.
