Brooks, Ore.-based Curry & Co. has hired Todd Mauritz as the company’s international grower relationship representative.

While simultaneously working in an experimental vineyard, Mauritz earned his college degree in 2005 from New Zealand’s Lincoln University. After graduating, he returned to the U.S. where he was an assistant production manager at Fall Creek Nursery, Lowell, Ore., according to a news release.

Since 2008, he has been production manager for Viveros Fall Creek Chile where he helped to design and build a new blueberry and ornamental plant production nursery.

“I’m excited about the energy Todd brings to our team,” Matt Curry, president of Curry & Co., said in the release. “The amount of experience he’s had at such a young age is remarkable, and he’s a great fit for our Chilean program.”

Mauritz will split his duties for Curry & Co. between Chile and the U.S. spending about six months a year in each country, according to the release.
