(March 16, 2 p.m.) To help consumers find the perfect — and healthful — dining experience, Healthy Dining has new content, newsletters and search features on its redesigned Web site, www.healthydiningfinder.com.

The San Diego-based company helps consumers identify healthful dishes at restaurants when they dine out.

Enhanced resources include:

  • Blog columns by nutrition experts;
  • e-newsletters with tips for dining out healthfully;
  • recipes; and
  • “Nutrition 101” section, which offers easy-to-understand healthful lifestyle guidelines.

Erica Bohm, vice president and director of stragetic partnerships for Healthy Dining, said one of the most valuable features for prospective restaurant patrons is located on the individual restaurant’s profile.

On the profile, each dish that has been identified — and verified by Healthy Dining’s dieticians — as a healthier offering is listed, along with its nutrition facts.

Cups of fruits and vegetables in a serving also are listed. For the dieting and/or health-conscious consumer, that information is invaluable, Bohm said.

“In one centralized resource, they can find the dishes that would help them meet their weight and nutrition goals,” she said.
