Almost 300 produce and floral industry members attended the Fresh Produce & Floral Council’s Holiday Luncheon and Charity Auction, raising more than $27,000.

The proceeds of the Dec. 1 event in Cerritos, Calif., go to the Orange County Food Bank and the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, said Carissa Mace, FPFC president. At the same time, the council presented a $10,000 donation to City of Hope, a medical center and cancer research institute in Duarte, Calif., the second year the council’s board of directors has authorized a donation to the City of Hope.
