Key Technology, Walla Walla, Wash., has appointed Louis Vintro senior vice president of business development and global operations. Vintro will be responsible for managing operations and business development, as well as leading global operations and manufacturing activities.

Vintro will also work with Key’s research and development team to manage the production of new products. His new role will allow him to oversee acquisition opportunities and form new business alliances, according to a news release.

Prior to joining Key Technology, Vintro was the vice president and general manager of the Semiconductor Division of Portland, Ore.-based ESI Inc., as well as the senior director of technical programs for KLA-Tencor Corporation, Milpitas, Calif. He has also served as the global business manager for BOC Edwards Kachina, now Applied Materials Inc, Santa Clara, Calif.
