(Sept. 26) KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Associated Wholesale Grocers Inc., now owns the assets of Homeland Stores, Oklahoma City, after a bankruptcy reorganization plan that leaves the grocery suppliers with 43 Homeland stores in Oklahoma.

The agreement was finalized in early September. Homeland filed for bankruptcy in August, closing or selling 35 stores. Associated Wholesale Grocers, which purchased 29 Homeland stores seven years ago, supplies more than 70% of the products sold in Homeland stores.
