(Dec. 5) Avocado grower-shipper Calavo Growers Inc., Santa Paula, Calif., has adopted the TXi Label from Boise, Idaho-based PakSense to track time and temperature of its products during shipping, according to a news release.

The labels will ship with avocados, fresh and frozen guacamole and other items.

“PakSense labels help verify that temperature anomalies during shipping do not compromise the integrity of our product and are our eyes and ears when our product is outside of our direct control,” said Lee Cole, Calavo chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer, in the release.
