A Cincinnati-area distributor and repacker has restructured its management team, opened a facility in Pennsylvania and launched new Web sites and logos to reflect a new business model.

According to chief operating officer Jeff Busch, Sharonville, Ohio-based Caruso Inc. will now be led by a group that includes:

  • Jim Caruso, president and chief executive officer (formerly president);
  • Jeff Busch, chief operating officer (formerly executive vice president);
  • Steve Caruso, executive vice president;
  • Mike Caruso, vice president of produce (formerly vice president of procurement);
  • Dave Williams, vice president of trucking (formerly vice president); and
  • Wayne Kramer, director of operations (formerly general manager).

Also, Caruso Logistics, the company’s third-party logistics division, has opened a second facility in central Pennsylvania, employing about 20 people.

The facility will be used primarily as a cross-docking distribution center for fresh produce and other foods, Busch said.

Caruso expects to open additional logistics offices.

Two new Web sites — www.carusofoods.com and www.carusologistics.com — have been launched to enhance communications with customers.

The company also has developed three new logos: one for the parent company; one for its produce division, Caruso The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Company; and one for Caruso Logistics.

Changes at Caruso reflect a diversification that, over the past five years, has seen the company add warehousing and distribution of produce, other perishables and nonperishable items for food companies, restaurants, food ingredient companies, consumer packaged goods companies and other companies, Busch said.
