Country Acres Cider & Produce presses apple cider year-round and grows bell peppers, cucumbers, jalapeÃ±o peppers, strawberries, sweet corn and winter squash.
HarvestMark, from Redwood City, Calif.-based YottaMark, provides packers and shippers with labels that carry codes with harvest and packing information for item- and case-level traceability, according to a news release.
Country Acres, the 200th company to use the HarvestMark program, uses it for case-level traceability.
Country Acres decided to implement HarvestMarkâs technology after receiving a letter from one of its retail customers stating that the retailer required PTI compliance, Lester Garber, founder of Country Acres, said in the release.
