(April 7) Steve Robinson, vice president of business process development for Dole Fresh Vegetables, Monterey, Calif., will receive a 2009 Food Safety Leadership Award from Ann Arbor, Mich.-based NSF International.

Robinson will be honored in the Systems Improvement category for a tracking process he created for fresh spinach, according to a news release.

NSF International is a not-for-profit public health and safety organization.

The award will be presented in Washington, D.C., at an April 27 reception kicking off NSF International's Food Safety Summit.
